Good stuff...

Mid summer...you gotta love it.

As your skin feels like it's going to melt from your face from the "feels like 120 degrees" humidity, take comfort in the fact that we are going to enjoy and play some music on the steamy, sultry, southern summer nights!

The release of The Dimestore Redemption is coming up on Friday July 15th. The creation of this album was done in pure guerrilla fashion at best, meaning a shoestring budget and a prayer. I can't thank the folks who threw themselves into and at this project enough: Coy Campbell King, Daniel Marler and Louis Romanos--The Nationals. These fellas didn't even know that they were going to even be forming a band!
The album contains 10 songs filled with redemption, happiness, sorrow and the ever-growing need to that certain something we are all looking for in life.

I decided to cover a song from one of my favorite bands of all times, The Pogues. It's fitting on this album because if you are even remotely familiar with The Pogues or front man, Shane McGowan, then you know that the song, "Dirty Old Town", has a home on this album.

Here's to hoping that you enjoy this album and I am already starting the next album, Love & 20 Pesos, scheduled for release in December. Just in time for Christmas!!

The Dimestore Redemption CD Release Party will be held at Flicker Theater on Friday July 15th in Athens, Georgia beginning at 8:00. The night will feature some of my favorite folks in the world, Nightingale News (Coy Campbell King), David Dondero, members of The Welfare Liners and of course The Nationals surrounding me!

See you at the show!!
